Appeals may be submitted exclusively by email to scoala.doctorala@utcb.ro, within the timeframes specified in the admission calendar.
It means that your file has been processed within the platform: you have completed the application form, uploaded the required documents, paid the registration fee, and submitted the file to the admission committee for verification.
“Validated” means that your file has been reviewed by the committee and found to be correct: the documents are in order, and the information provided is accurate and compliant.
After the registration period closes, all validated files become eligible. “Eligible” means that your file has been accepted to proceed within the admission process, in accordance with the stages set out in the admission calendar.
The examination ID is generated once your file becomes eligible. It is available in your personal account on the platform and is used for identification and the communication of results.
Yes, until your file is validated and no later than the official closing of the registration period (as specified in the calendar). After registration closes, options can no longer be modified.
You may select as many options as permitted by the platform and the applicable regulations. The registration fee is paid only once, regardless of the number of options selected.

Yes, provided that the doctoral supervisor agrees and that the language proficiency examination is successfully passed for the respective language.
The doctoral programme has a duration of three years, with the possibility of extension or suspension in accordance with the applicable regulations.

The general admission average is calculated as the arithmetic mean, expressed with two decimal places and without rounding, of the grades obtained in the two components of the specialized examination.
The minimum general admission average is 8.00.
Ranking is carried out after formal entry into the competition (i.e., eligibility and submission of the required original diplomas), based on the selected field of study and the admission average.
Following ranking, your status may become “Admitted” or “Rejected,” depending on the applicable regulations and the availability of places. The examination ID remains unchanged throughout the entire process.
The next stage is enrolment, immediately following the competition (in accordance with the calendar). During this stage, original documents must be submitted and the required payments must be made (e.g., the enrolment fee of RON 150 and, where applicable, the first instalment of the tuition fee for tuition-based places), as specified in the published instructions.
Files are reviewed by the admission committees or sub-committees, which validate the submitted documents and the accuracy of the provided information.
This page is addressed to candidates who wish to pursue Doctoral University Studies (SUD) within IOSUD – the Technical University of Civil Engineering Bucharest, for the 2026–2027 academic year. Admission is conducted through an annual competitive process for places allocated by the Ministry of Education (state-funded, in the form of doctoral grants) and for places approved by the University Senate (tuition-based), in accordance with the Admission Methodology.
