Romanian State Scholarship Holders are non-EU foreign candidates (from outside the EU/EEA/Switzerland) who pursue studies in Romania on state-funded places, without tuition fees, and who benefit from a scholarship granted by the Romanian State, in accordance with the applicable regulations.

No. Romanian State Scholarship Holders do not participate in the UTCB admission competition (they are not ranked for UTCB places). They are enrolled based on places and documents allocated at ministerial level and are directly admitted.

Because UTCB must receive your documents before your arrival in Romania, in order to process your data and prepare the enrolment procedure accurately and efficiently.

Yes. You must create an account and upload the required documents via admitereonline.utcb.ro.

First, the Preparatory Year of Romanian Language; subsequently, after successful completion, the student may continue with an undergraduate or master’s programme at UTCB, exclusively in Romanian.

No. Romanian State Scholarship Holders may enrol only in programmes taught in Romanian.

It is a study year dedicated to acquiring the Romanian language competencies necessary to subsequently enrol in an undergraduate or master’s programme taught in Romanian.

You must upload the documents required for the Romanian State Scholarship category (generally including: identity documents, educational documents, the official document/decision confirming scholarship status, photograph, etc.). The exact list is displayed in the platform and in the procedure published on the webpage.

No. Romanian State Scholarship Holders are enrolled on state-funded places, without tuition fees, and benefit from a monthly scholarship.

After completing the Preparatory Year of Romanian Language, in accordance with the rules and available options applicable at that time (as detailed in the calendar/procedure).

Yes. Upon arrival in Romania and at enrolment, you must present the original documents, in accordance with the applicable procedure.

Această pagină se adresează candidaților străini non-UE (din afara Uniunii Europene/SEE/Elveția) care vin la studii în România în categoria Bursierii Statului Român (BSR), pe locuri finanțate de stat, fără taxe de studii și cu bursă acordată de statul român, în condițiile reglementărilor specifice acestei categorii.

Deși sunt candidați non-UE, bursierii statului român nu urmează fluxul de admitere non-UE cu taxă. Ei vin pe locuri alocate de Ministerul de resort și sunt înmatriculați direct la programul pentru care au dreptul/acceptul, conform documentelor lor (nu sunt ierarhizați pe locurile UTCB).
