UTCB – European University

UTCB is part of the European University for the Smart Sustainable Development of Urban Coastal Areas (EU-CONEXUS), which is a transnational institution of higher education and research. EU-CONEXUS is one of the 17 “European University” projects that have been selected by the European Commission from the 54 proposals submitted for funding.
Within this framework, a joint program of the partner universities will be developed, with a European Doctorate, with the general specialization “Sustainable development of urban coastal areas”. Details coming soon!

The scholarship can be yours!

The amount of scholarships for doctoral students can be interesting (1600 lei – year I and 1800 lei – years II and III). In addition, UTCB provides internal grants for PhD students – GID.

Applied research projects

PhD students may be involved in the teams of applied or fundamental research projects and may be remunerated within them. Numerous applied research topics respond to the real needs of society and the market, thus contributing to the development of Romanian research.

Training seminars

Various seminars, courses and training workshops are organized throughout the doctoral internship. They provide useful tools for the future researcher: writing scientific papers, documentary databases, bibliographic referencing, ethics of scientific papers.

In addition to the Doctoral School Conference (DSC) at the University, he actively participates in the organization of top scientific events that bring together the engineering academic community together with famous international guests and professional associations in the field.

* Candidates from engineering specializations with teaching in foreign languages must take an eliminatory test of linguistic competence (evaluated as admitted / rejected). It does not affect the calculation of the admission average. Recognized language proficiency certificates for which the test is no longer required: English: CAE, CPE, TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC, AQA, bilingual class attestation/ French certificates: DELF, DALF, TCF, TEF, TFI, Diplome de l’Alliance Française, Certificate of bilingual class.

Note:

(1) International candidates who require a letter of acceptance may register only in stage I in order to be able to obtain the letters of acceptance on time.

(2) The international candidates can submit the complete files in the Pre-registration Stage that takes place between 1.02 – 1.07.2020 in order to start earlier the formalities for obtaining the acceptance letter.

(3) The candidates on the places allocated to the individual study programs that support the priority development fields can be registered only during the 1st stage (July), according to the calendar of the admission to SUD in IOSUD – UTCB, during the academic year 2019-2020.
(4) The candidates from another field of Bachelor or Master degrees can also be registered only during the 1st stage, in order for them to take part in the field-specific knowledge examinations.
