Organization of the University
Academic units
There are seven academic units at the Technical University of Civil Engineering Bucharest
Faculties:• Faculty of Civil, Industrial and Agricultural Buildings – F.C.I.A.B.
• Faculty of Hydrotechnics – F.H.
• Faculty of Railways, Roads and Bridges – F.R.R.B.
• Faculty of Building Services – F.B.S.
• Faculty of Technological Equipment – F.T.E.
• Faculty of Geodesy – F.G.
(The six faculties offer undergraduate training (4 year), providing education in Romanian).
Faculty of Engineering in Foreign Languages: (with tuition in English and in French)
The Department of Engineering in Foreign Languages (D.E.F.L.) offers undergraduate training (4 year) in English and in French in the field of Civil Engineering and only in French in the field of Building Services.
Chairs
There are 28 chairs (cathedrae) within the Technical University of Civil Engineering Bucharest, grouping members of the teaching staff covering all academic activities (lectures, seminars, laboratories and project works) specified in the curricula. The chairs are also in charge with the research work undertaken at the University.
